Production of high-speed working stages for centrifugal pumps
Energy-efficient high-speed ESP: KERAMET UHS ESP
Advantages of high-speed ESP
A global trend in oil production is the use of high-speed ESP equipment with a wide control range (1,000–12,000 rpm), dynamic optimization technology for downhole operation, and the ability to lower the equipment using both traditional methods and a load-carrying cable. Dynamic optimization of system parameters throughout the entire operating period enables maximum production potential.
The installation process is fast, reliable, and does not require wellbore shutdown. The unit is installed via a surface lubricator into a pre-run tubing string. Dismantling the unit is also simple, using only a load-bearing cable. Therefore, this technology can be used for temporary well operation during primary pump failure, reducing downtime while awaiting a replacement. The unit can also be installed for permanent operation as a way to extend the economic life of wells that would otherwise be shut in and mothballed to avoid the cost of major repairs and hoisting equipment. The technology also reduces health and safety risks for personnel. Instead of a full crew required to mobilize a derrick to replace a traditional ESP, the Keramet-Perm ESP system can be installed by three or four people.
Keramet-Perm LLC is a leader in Russia in the production of small centrifugal pump stages. The high level of powder and additive manufacturing technologies used by us is unmatched by its closest competitors in terms of price/quality ratio.
1. The ESP operates at well potential in automatic mode;
7. Increasing the rate of formation fluid extraction;
6. Cost-effective operation;
5. High wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the pump;
3. Increasing the number of operating wells;
2. Deep adjustability of pump operating modes;
- Unique composite powder materials provide pump stages with superior wear and corrosion resistance. Eliminates the traditional copper infiltration process. A wide selection of materials, including pure stainless steel, is available. AISI 316L;
- Due to the increased rotation frequency, high pressure is achieved with a smaller number of stages and has a wide operating range;
- Friction pairs made of metal-ceramics maintain the pump’s functionality over a long period of operation;
- The use of metal-ceramic materials in the pumps improves it stability in environments where mechanical impurities are carried away. The pump's high-wear resistance and improved design allow it to operate in conditions with impurity levels of up to 5 g/l;
- Prevention of carbon dioxide and sulfide corrosion is achieved by combining over 33% chromium and nickel in the new PrimeRezist material from Keramet-Perm. The material is copper-free;
• Minimal well downtime with the ability to install a pump without a drilling rig;
• Arriving at the well in assembled form;
• Increasing the speed of Run-in-Hole operation;
• Reducing labor costs for installation of the unit;
• The permissible content of EHF is higher than that of standard ESP;
• Continuous monitoring of pump operation;
• Reducing production costs;
• Automatically adjustable feed rate over a wide range;
• The length and weight are 3 times smaller than those of mass-produced units, which allows for operation in wells with high curvature rates (up to 6° per 10 m);
• Reduced warehouse and production costs due to small dimensions;
• Reduction of the range of pumping equipment;
• Increasing the rate of liquid extraction through intelligent control algorithms;
